County Champs
We have the County Champs coming up on 22nd July so if you haven’t entered already there’s still time to get your entry in, the entry form can be found by following the link below:
The County Champs also features the Herts v Beds Inter County Match, so we are looking for archers to put their scores in so that our selectors can choose a team.
To register your interest in being chosen for the County Team you need to complete the registration form which can be found here:  http://hertsarchery.org.uk/content/2018-declaration-form/
and then submit all your scores via this page: http://hertsarchery.org.uk/content/ssf/
Finally, if you decide you don’t want to shoot at the champs but you are free on the day we are desperately trying to get volunteers to act as ‘Field Party’.
This is a great opportunity for new archers who may not want to shoot at a big competition but by being part of the field party you will get an idea of what happens and you’ll be a great help to the County.
So if you’re free and can help out please get in touch and let me know.

Enfield Archers

We would like to welcome a new club to Hertfordshire Archery Association as we have now been joined by Enfield Archers who are based at Suffolks Primary School, Brick Lane EN1 3PU.

We all look forward to shooting with them at County Tournaments and hopefully in the league in the Summer.

Gold for Jess Stretton

_91289267_w1_archery_reutersMany congratulations to Jess Stretton, the 16 year old Hemel Hempstead archer, who has won a Gold medal at the Paralympic Games in Rio.  Jess beat her UK compatriot Jo Firth 137 to 124 in the final match.  A win by 13 points! Fantastic.  Vicky Jenkins joined her UK colleagues to take Bronze.

Jess has been the leading UK archer in the Women W1 category all year and this is a wonderful end to 2016 for her.
