If you are new to archery, you will need to complete a beginners’ course before you can join a club. Courses are usually run over 4-6 weeks with each session lasting about 2 hours. All equipment is supplied. If you complete the course successfully, you will be given a certificate which allows you to apply for membership of any club affiliated to the Archery GB.
Children can be accepted on courses from the age of 8, although individual clubs may set a higher minimum age.
Beginners courses are run by most clubs in the county. However, please be aware that there may be a lengthy waiting list for places.
